......................................
IN 1974, A SERIES OF POWERFUL TORNADOES (one EF4, one EF5) WHIPPED THROUGH ALABAMA AND DEVASTATED MANY AREAS, INCLUDING THE SMALL TOWN OF HARVEST, AL. AGAIN, IN 1995. AN EF4 TORNADO HIT HARVEST. AND AGAIN, LAST APRIL 2011, WHERE A LARGE EF5 TORNADO CAUSED 72 DEATHS IN ITS 132 MILE TREK. AGAIN, IN MARCH 2012, AS ITS CITIZENS WERE TRYING TO RECOVER, HARVEST, AL, WAS HIT BY AN EF3 TORNADO LESS THAN A YEAR AFTER THE 2011 TORNADO OUTBREAK.
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION TO GET MORE TORNADO SHELTERS FOR HARVEST AREAS, AS WELL AS FOR ITS TORNADO-PRONE MADISON COUNTY (ALSO HIT BY A DEADLY EF5 TORNADO IN 1989).
