I live in a village called Sandridge in St Albans, there is a zebra crossing where I live where careless drivers always drive way over 30 mph and the fast drivers never stop for pedestrians at this zebra crossing. My sister in law actually got hit and run by a speeding vehicle who left her there laying on floor for help. 
some cars are definitely going 50-60pmh through the high street onto St Albans road. I want to raise awareness as there are small children Play ground in this area and I believe the speed limit should be 20mph through the high street to keep the neighbourhood safe. 

We did have a speed recognition led sign put up along the way, but I have not seen this make any difference as most cars are still speeding through this village. I do not feel safe when we are waiting to cross at the zebra crossing with a 7 month year old baby. 
We do not want anyone to feel scared or unsafe within our community, so please let’s get the speed down to 20 mph or get the council to put a actual speed camera to catch these high speed drivers.
