Why this petition matters

COVID-19 has impacted our AJMLS community, particularly, our learning environments and the accessibility to academic resources. The Student Bar Association recognizes the challenges that many of our students face at home and how this may place many of our students at a disadvantage. Furthermore, we recognize that because of the current grading policies, our fellow students are very concerned with their GPAs and how this will effect their law school careers and beyond. For this reason we are proposing a different, yet fair grading policy for our AJMLS student body.

Due to our administration’s recent decision to resume with online/remote classes this fall semester, would you support increasing the AJMLS mean grading system to a B average for the Fall Semester at the following grading structure?

Electives Generally: 3.1 - 3.2 mean GPA;

Other required course: 3.0 - 3.1 mean GPA;

Required courses generally considered first year courses: 2.9 - 3.0 mean GPA ?

If you agree with the SBA’s proposition, please sign this petition.
