Il progetto Venis Cruise 2.0 prevede la costruzione di un terminal per le grandi navi da crociera in Bocca di porto del Lido/Punta Sabbioni nella laguna di Venezia. Queste sono le conseguenze:

• La messa a rischio dell’intero ecosistema della laguna di Venezia: il progetto comporta lo scavo di più di 2 milioni di metri cubi di sabbia e caranto, e ciò significa spalancare al mare la strada verso Venezia, aumentando l’immissione di acqua salata in laguna e alterando per sempre questo delicato ecosistema. 
• Un aumento esponenziale del traffico acqueo dalla Bocca di Porto del Lido a Venezia e viceversa, che aggraverebbe il moto ondoso, con danni irreparabili alle barene e ai preziosi monumenti della laguna di Venezia. 
• Un aumento dell’inquinamento luminoso e acustico in prossimità di una eccezionale area di nidificazione per molte specie protette: il progetto è collocato vicino a uno dei pochi Siti di Interesse Comunitario dell’Alto Adriatico con effetti pesanti sull’ambiente e sul futuro di molte specie già vulnerabili e a rischio di estinzione. 
• Un aumento esponenziale del traffico dei Tir su Via Fausta SP42, strada stretta e pericolosa che attraversa Cavallino-Treporti, litorale collegato a sua volta alla terraferma da un unico ponte, che porterebbe al collasso il già compromesso sistema viario soprattutto d'estate.

La laguna di Venezia si regge su un equilibrio delicato e fragile, e il suo destino è inscindibile da quello di una città che tutto il mondo ammira. Chiediamo ai ministri interessati, al presidente della Regione Veneto e a tutti i decisori l’impegno a bloccare definitivamente il progetto Venis Cruise 2.0.

Venis-Cruise 2.0 is a project to build a cruise ship terminal by the Lido inlet/Punta Sabbioni, in the Venice lagoon. These are the consequences:

• The entire ecosystem of the Venice lagoon will be endangered: the project involves digging up more than 2 million cubic meters of sand and clay from the inlet, clearing the way for salty sea water to enter the lagoon in inordinate amounts and altering forever this delicate ecosystem.
• A dramatic increase in marine traffic from the Lido inlet to Venice and vice versa, exacerbating the problem of wave damage and causing irreparable harm to the precious monuments and to the small islands located in the Venice lagoon.
• A troubling increase in light and noise pollution in an exceptional nesting area for protected birds: the project is located right next to one of very few Sites of Community Importance (SIC) in the northern Adriatic designated by the European Union, threatening this very special environment and the future of many vulnerable and endangered species.
• A dramatic increase in traffic of heavy goods vehicles on a narrow and dangerous road: the terminal would be connected to the mainland via the island of Cavallino-Treporti and its one bridge. It threatens to wreak havoc on local streets that are already heavily overloaded especially in the summer months.

The Venice lagoon hinges on a delicate and fragile equilibrium, and its destiny is intertwined with that of a city beloved all over the world. We ask the government, the president of the Veneto region, and all the decision makers to reject once and for all the project Venis Cruise 2.0.

Venis-Cruise 2.0 ist ein Projekt zur Errichtung eines Kreuzfahrtschiff-Terminals am Punta Sabbioni in der Lagune von Venedig.

Dies sind die Folgen:

• Das gesamte Ökosystem der Lagune von Venedig wird gefährdet. Das Projekt beinthaltet die Ausgrabung von mehr als 2 Millonen Kubikmetern Sand und Ton aus der Meerenge. Dadurch gelangen ungeheure Mengen Salzwasser in die Lagune und das empfindliche Ökosystem wird für immer verändert.
• Ein dramatischer Anstieg des Schiffsverkehrs vom Punta Sabbioni nach Venedig und zurück. Dadurch verschlimmert sich das Problem des Wellenschlags und es wird unwiderbringlicher Schaden and den kostbaren  Kulturdenkmälern und den Barene in der Lagune von Venedig angerichtet.
• Ein besorgniserregender Anstieg an Licht- und Lärmverschmutzung in einer außergewöhnlichen Nistgegend für geschützte Vögel. Das Projekt soll direkt neben einem von sehr wenigen 'Gebieten von gemeinschaftlicher Bedeutung' (SIC) in der nördlichen Adria durchgeführt werden, was diese sehr besondere Naturlandschaft und die Zukunft vieler gefährdeter Arten bedroht.
• Ein exorbitanter Anstieg des Lastwagenverkehrs auf einer schmalen und gefährlichen Straße: Das Terminal wäre mit dem Festland durch die Insel Cavallino-Treporti und ihre einzige Brücke verbunden. Es droht Chaos auf den örtlichen Straßen, die jetzt schon überbelastet sind, insbesondere in den Sommermonaten.

Die Lagune von Venedig befindet sich in einem empfindlichen Gleichgewicht und ihr Schicksal ist eng verbunden mit der überall auf der Welt geliebten Stadt. Wir forden die Regierung, den Präsidenten der Region Veneto und alle Entscheidungsträger auf, das Projekt Veins Cruise 2.0 ein für alle Mal abzulehnen.
