Longer Breaks for Students at AISJ

Longer Breaks for Students at AISJ
Why this petition matters
We, the highschool AISJ students demand our right to breaks. We find it necessary for our mental health, physical health and overall wellness at school, to progress we must need breaks to help energize us for our next classes. You are not only holding us back from our academic full potential but also keeping us from achieving building peer relationships to help further our understanding of social interactions that we'll surely need in our day to day lives when we "pursue our dream"
Longer breaks have proven to be essential in improving grades, moral and overall atmosphere at school. Taking this away from us this year has proven to be detrimental to many students already who depend on them for the necessary time needed to excel in courses and keep up a positive mental attitude, and have the time to eat. Without these breaks, many students have verbally spoke about their unwillingness to complete courses and lack of motivation for the school days. The five minutes we get are not enough for a student to keep a low-stress high-achieving mental state, we are suffering trying to run from one course to another.
We, the HS students of AISJ have all been heavily criticizing these new biased rules that only benefiting the HS office. We feel the need to point out this one-sided decision was made for their sole benefit and how the HS office refuses to change it even after changing our Ramadan schedule last year within a day. From the HS students to you we hope we can resolve this issue in a fair and humane manner and find a common middle ground built on the wish for the betterment of student life at AISJ and hopefully a peaceful year.
