CC Bosco Andrade started this petition to AIRTEL DIGITAL TV

Goodness Channel is a Devotional Channel from Divine Retreat Centre, (DRC) Potta, which is the world's largest Retreat Centre. The channel is owned by Goodness Media Pvt Ltd.

We have been watching it from the year 2011, which is more than a decade. Our day starts with Goodness Channel and ends with it.

Two months ago, three of us were confirmed positive for covid and under house quarantine. One of the reasons that kept us motivated with a reason to fight the virus was the devotional and inspirational messages of the channel.

Due to the recent exorbitant rate tariff proposed by Airtel, the channel will not be available from the 12th June. From 24 lakhs the hike has shot up to 48 lakhs, which DRC is not able to pay currently.

Due to the pandemic, lakhs of jobs have been lost, lakhs of people have died, lakhs of businesses have shut down and lakhs of people are starving daily. The donations and contributions of the devotees of DRC has come down drastically, which is why they are not able to pay such a huge, exorbitant increase in tariff going forth to Airtel.

While the other service providers like Dish TV, Tata Sky, DEN, Sun Direct and Asianet Digital have agreed to lower their increase in rates to an affordable amount, Airtel is reluctant to negotiate their tariff to an acceptable and affordable rate.

We appeal to Airtel to reconsider their exorbitant increase in tariff keeping in mind the present predicament which is a global crisis. Airtel is quite popular among many viewers and this kind deed on humanitarian grounds to lower their exorbitant increase in tariff to a comfortable, reasonable and acceptable rate will definitely sow the seeds of making it even more popular and perhaps take it to immeasurable heights of becoming India's number one channel.

On the other hand as the saying goes, 'It takes many good deeds to build a good reputation and only one bad one to lose it' Benjamin Franklin. The noble words of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our Nation is befitting, substantiating and supportive in our appeal to Airtel at this point of time, "Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed."

This appeal is being sent without any malafide intention. I earnestly request all those who receive this to support it and pass it on to as many as possible so that we stand united for a good cause.

Ultimately, the choice lies with Airtel, " To do or not to do.' To do a good deed and win laurels in it's cap by winning the hearts of the masses or not to do a good deed and not to worry about the sentiments,  welfare and happiness of the masses.

Are we ready to share this appeal to all our friends, relatives, contacts and well wishers in the hopes that some good will emerge by spreading it?
