I over looked paying online ONLY when I dropped my son off at Gatwick airport. I was there no longer than 5 mins. There was no  where to pay via  machine at the time of parking , therefore forcing people to pay online. The round  journey took three hours,  I simply forgot to pay online and only remembered when I was due to pick my son up 7 days later. I called Gatwick and they informed me that they were unable to override the system and I would receive a PCN via the post!  This would be in the region of £80!  

A drop off should remain free as it is just that.  Charging £5 for up to 5 minutes and an additional £1 per minute there after is pure greed and should be abolished. 

I would like to see the car parking fee charge removed and allow people to drop off their friends and family without having the pressure of paying for drop off fees, especially when we already know that the maximum amount of time people use is less than ten minutes.
