Ask Airbnb to Suspend their High Fees so that people can Afford to Self-isolate
Why this petition matters

Hello friend.
I live in Florida where we are about to experience the impact of the coronavirus outbreak at its fullest.
Many people have elderly parents that live with them, and/or older children or other family members or roommates with low or compromised immune systems, heart diseases, high blood pressure, respiratory health concerns and diabetes...those whom are most affected and most likely to get sick or die from covid-19.
Every time they leave their houses for work or the grocery stores, they are putting their loved one's lives at an enormous risk!
This produces an enormous amount of stress and anxiety for EVERYONE in the household, thus lowering EVERYONE'S immune system.
Many people are seeking temporary housing so that they may self-isolate and vastly limit their exposure to their loved ones who are at risk.
As we all know globally many businesses and large corporations have been lifting fees, suspending due-dates and extending help to their customers until we can all recover.
However, Airbnb is STILL CHARGING EXORBITANTLY HIGH FEES to guests wanting and needing to book long term stays for non-vacation commercial activities.
By lifting their high fees, they could drastically help people in local communities seeking to self-isolate MUCH MORE affordably!
By doing this they would also be helping their hosts, the bread and butter of who they are, who are also getting hit financially from cancellations.
ASK AIRBNB TO SUSPEND ALL THEIR FEES, SO THAT PEOPLE IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES CAN SELF-ISOLATE FROM THEIR LOVED ONES WHO ARE MOST AT RISK OF GETTING SICK OR DYING FROM COVID-19!
We are all in this together!
