My Grandmother was visiting us here in Canada, Vancouver. Due to Covid, she was unable to return to India. Recently she was admitted to emergency department and she was diagnosed with esophageal cancer as well as pneumonia. Due to her age and her diagnosis the doctors say that she has a few weeks of life left. It is her last wish to go back to India and meet the rest of her family before she ends her life. She has a visitor's insurance and we have already passed the limit and are way over the finanances due to the highly expensive hospital costs. Although she is in immense pain, her soul is not ready to depart till her last wish is fulfilled. She is bravely fighting her disease with immense strength and braveness that is beyond my imagination. My entire childhood I have seen her serving us all and now it breaks my heart when she constantly asks me to take her back to India and is unable to fulfill her request. The doctors have already provided a fit to fly with oxygen and stable health certificate to the insurance - Destination Canada but the insurance company is not at all understanding the situation. The insurance company was given the certificate by doctors two weeks ago but till date they have failed to provide us with medical escort and support of oxygen on flight. We are in deep pain and my grandmother is in deep pain, she has a few weeks and two weeks have already been wasted by the insurance. Each day she is dying slowly in front of us with the look of her unfulfilled wish in her eyes. I do not know what to answer her at this point and I cannot imagine how is she still surviving even with so much of pain. I do not want her to leave us with her last wish unfulfilled. Please help me fulfill my grandmother's last wish.
