To end sexism in drill at the ATC

In this day and age, we are rightly educated that equality should be respected and implemented into every aspect of society. I too stand firmly with this

So why, therefore, are female cadets given the patronising order of not partaking in the following particular drill command - "Remove Headdress"?

Both male and female cadets have heads. Both have hair. Both have berets. So why should there be *any* difference in the execution of this drill command? Are we simply following a tradition, no matter how outdated it may now be? Surely both the RAF and ATC should be striving to maintain gender equality?

I surely hope so, which is why I have created this petition to give both male and female cadets in the Air Training Corps, as well as officers in the RAF, the chance to sort this out. To remove any potential implication of sexism from drill.

This is not a rant from a disgruntled cadet, just a plea from someone who would like to see a step in the right direction.
