‘The growing number of student suicides in the UK is a huge problem with 146 deaths in 2016, an increase of 95 per cent since 2006’ Reported by Anita Merritt, 24 MAY 2018 on Devon Live
At the University of Exeter, vital wellbeing resources are remaining unutilized due to issues surrounding accessibility.
We aim to solve this issue by creating student wellbeing representatives on campus at Exeter, to provide signposting and support for those in need. Before getting trained the representatives will be recruited from several societies, including international societies so we can eliminate language and cultural barrier.
Your support can assist us in putting this idea into practice, bridging the gap between students and wellbeing services.
Our first target is to reach 500 signatures which will enable us to begin fundraising to commence this meaningful project.
