The dress code at MVHS and I’m sure other schools around the district is sexist towards women and people with figures. Stop the targeting!! Women are missing out on their education because some “men” are being “distracted”. If you believe it’s for our own safety, you are dead wrong. The dress code only includes 2 rules for boys (no sagging and no hats) while the girls have the following: no length dresses/shorts that are farther than 3 inches above the knee, no leggings, no over shown cleavage (which seems to only apply to bigger chested woman), the shortest your sleeve can go is the size of your hand, etc. If I violated one of these rules i will have my education ripped from me just because of the clothes i wear? No i and every other woman will not stand for it. MY CLOTHES DO NOT DEFINE ME! Please sign this petition and share to raise awareness of the change we’re bringing!!
