After another phone call I have decided this is a worthwhile cause. 

St. Joseph School District does not feel that Aiden Gromowski should have a chair at graduation this year. It was just about three years ago students from another local school did indeed have honor chairs. The excuse the students don’t set in alphabetical order does not compute as the chair could be set anywhere. 

Some Benton High School faculty feel as though Aiden Gromowski should not get his chair at graduation. They have expressed their feelings of wanting their friend remembered with them on THEIR day. I as a parent am doing my part to help the kids get what they want. May is mental health awareness month. Mental health is just as important as any other illness. We lost Aiden to mental illness which should not be treated taboo or something to be ashamed of. Maybe if we were more open and less judgmental we would experience less loss due to mental illness.
