Save the Hanover Mall

The Hanover Mall is an enclosed shopping center in Hanover, Massachusetts that opened in 1971. Stores there include Walmart, Macy's, Sears, Dick's Sporting Goods, Trader Joe's, Panera Bread, Buffalo Wild Wings, Petco and Office Max. It is currently at risk of being torn down for a new open-air center which might include offices and residential buildings. This is a bad idea because many town residents like the mall in it's current state, and with the changing New England seasons, less people would want to go in the winter and colder temperatures. There are better options, such as adding more stores and doing some minor renovations to modernize the mall. There are also many other open-air plazas, office spaces, and condominiums in the area, and better places to build them. Please sign this petition and work together as a community to make the mall more successful and save it in the process.
