Tell Agriturismo la Pietriccia to stop sending tourists to sexual predator

In the late afternoon of April 25, 2016, I was sexually assaulted at the Terme Sensoriali Spa in Chianciano, Tuscany. I do not want this to happen to anyone else.

Terme Sensoriali was a spa that was recommended and endorsed by both Agriturismo la Pietriccia, where I was staying, and my tour group, G Adventures. Since the incident, during which I was humiliated, subjected to sexual and inappropriate comments about my body by the "masseur," and had my breasts rubbed by a man who claimed he was checking me for cancer, I have been doing my best to make sure this never happens to another woman.

Even though the "masseur" ADMITTED he was unprofessional during the massage, that he also rushed me, realized I was uncomfortable but still did not stop his behaviour, Terme Sensoriali has continually defended itself, including lying on their response to my Trip Advisor review. They claimed I said the massage was "Excellent," which I did not--I said, "Different," hoping my tone and expression would convey what I couldn't voice at the time. Honestly, my main focus directly after the incident was to get out of there as fast as I could, so I would never see the man who molested me again.

The spa also claimed the massage involves massaging the tops of the breasts, which was not true in my case--he thoroughly massaged my entire breast while giving me a lecture about breast cancer and then telling me my breasts were "healthy." To make matters worse, while still holding my breast, he told me they were, "Just right for champagne." I was so shocked and disgusted that I wasn't sure I'd heard him correctly, so I asked him to repeat it. He did.

Bottom line: I do not want this to happen to another woman. After conducting their own investigation into this incident, G Adventures has removed Terme Sensoriali from their list of optional activities. I have asked Agriturismo la Pietriccia to stop promoting it as well, and to remove it from their own website. They have refused, but I'm hoping public pressure will convince them otherwise.

The spa and the agriturismo continue to defend this terrible man's behaviour by saying I'd booked an "emotional" massage--one wonders what type of emotion the masseur was hoping to evoke--and that they've never had a complaint against him or his treatments before. Knowing how few women report assaults, this doesn't mean much to me. But I hope you will agree that even once is too many.

Please encourage Agriturismo la Pietriccia to stop sending tourists to Terme Sensoriali! I don't want this man to assault another vulnerable woman.
