1. We are opposed to the unfair price hikes of the new visas for foreign nationals, as this will NOT result in any positive changes to the service or benefits. As a tourist, this only puts you at a disadvantage.

2. The visas issued BEFORE April 16, 2022 can no longer be extended due to the new regulation. Therefore, the tourists are forced to apply for a NEW more expensive visa or to leave the country of Indonesia within a week. We consider that illegal.

3. The Indonesian immigration office had enough time to announce new regulations and give foreign tourists enough time to prepare for the new law. But the new regulation came on a weekend on April 16, 2022 and without a detailed explanation, the office was closed for 2 weeks due to the holidays, so it was not accessible to tourists.

4. The official website where the new visas have to be issued is constantly overloaded, so not accessible to everyone. It seems to collapse under major technical problems. This means that the regulations required by the immigration office cannot be implemented by the tourists.

We urge the Immigration Office in Jakarta to consider our complaints. And to give a detailed opinion.
