Sissiku Julius Ayuk Tabe and 11 others were rounded up and abducted by the Nigerian Department of State Security in Abuja Nigeria when they were having a meeting on how they could alleviate the sufferings of Cameroonian refugees in Nigeria – a situation caused by the Cameroon government, genocidal handling of the crisis. They were held in Nigeria for about 3 weeks and then handed over to the Government of the Republic of Cameroon as claimed by the spokesperson for the Cameroonian government. They have been falsely tagged as terrorists by the Cameroon government and are most certainly going to face untold torture, inhuman incarceration, inhumane treatment from the Cameroonian government, unfair hearing at the Military Tribunal, heavily manipulated by the government and facing the death sentence according to the government terrorist laws.

Sissiku Julius Ayuk Tabe and ALL of these leaders are not terrorist and have never nurtured any terrorist claims as has been reported in many press organs presently covering events on the crises.

These leaders have diverse legal status out of Cameroon as recognized by international humanitarian law, the UN, AU, and a myriad of International and national instruments, in Cameroon and Nigeria.

Amongst those who were also kidnapped or abducted are Dr Henry Kimeng who is also an associate professor of Civil Engineering, Dr Cornelius Kwanga a lecturer, Dr Ojong Ntui a lecturer, Dr Fidelis Nde Che a lecturer, Barrister Shufai Blaise Berinyuy, Mr Tassang Wilfred, Dr Nfor Ngala Nfor, Barrister Eyambe Elias, Dr Ojong Nkongho, Mrs Nalowa Bih a lawyer and Professor Awasum. The concern of these gentlemen and lady for the well being of humans do not classify them as terrorists and the baseless claims of the gestapo and fascist dictatorship in Cameroon cannot by any means implicate them in terrorism however they manipulate the law. Now there are no traces of their whereabouts apart from the vague claim by the Cameroonian government that they are in their keeping.

We are calling on the Cameroonian government to immediately release all of them who have been unfairly and unlawfully kept in their custody which as proven by all international evidences are sub-human conditions.
