HD Broadcast for ALL free-to-air AFL games

With the new rights deal about to be negotiated and bid for, it's time the game was brought forward from the 70's and broadcast in High Definition on free-to-air. With the influx of big screen HD TVs into homes around the country, it has become all-to-apparent that Standard Definition is not acceptable for fans and one only needs to switch over to Foxtel to see the marked difference HD broadcast makes to the viewing experience. Muted colours and a blurry picture is the norm for current free-to-air viewing.

We are hearing a lot about the projections of what the deal will inject into the AFL, how the players want their slice but not enough of what the viewers and fans will get.

Viewers deserve to access HD broadcast of AFL for every game on free-to-air and it should be written into the new deal that this be so.
