Stop animal testing on 70 beagles in Chennai

We need your help to save 70 beagles wrongly transported to India as “pets” who are destined for cruel tests at Advinus Therapeutics.
Not only is animal testing ethically wrong and cruel, but we must stop the trafficking of animals on the false pretense of keeping them as pets so that this does not become a viable business for chemical testing. We are far too evolved with our level of technology in this day and age to still inflict intentional pain on innocent young creatures.
I was shocked to learn that 70 beagles were imported as "pets" from commercial breeder Beijing Marshall Biotechnoloy Co Ltd in China and are now being held in Animal Quarantine and Certification Services in Chennai. They will soon be transported to Advinus Therapeutics' laboratory in Bangalore and are likely to be used in tests in which they will be injected with or force-fed chemicals, experimental drugs and pesticides until they become very sick or die. The Animal Quarantine and Certification Services documentation that PETA has obtained falsely refers to the dogs as "pets". Invalid import paperwork renders shipments of animals illegal.
You have the authority to take action and save the lives of these 70 beagles. Please conduct an urgent investigation and then confiscate the dogs and turn them over to PETA so that they can be put up for adoption and spared the caging, poisoning and death that they could face in Advinus Therapeutics' laboratories.
If you are in Chennai please show your support on 15 November at noon at the demonstration. For more details please write to ChaitanyaK@petaindia.org.
