Move Tampons to a Tax Exempt Category in Nebraska

In forty states, including Nebraska, feminine products are taxed. Some states have started to put tampons and sanitary napkins under the umbrella of medical supplies in order to make them tax-exempt.
Nebraska should do the same thing. While the tax may only contribute a few cents to every purchase of a box, that adds up after the several decades a person has a period. Without sanitary products, having a period can get unsanitary and unsafe, not to mention embarrassing. Because feminine hygiene products allow for the safety and health of a human being, they should be tax exempt under the medical supplies category.
