Tell Governor Malloy and the General Assembly NOW is the time to adopt a fair education funding formula!

On September 7th, Superior Court Judge Thomas Moukawsher, in the now nationally recognized CCJEF v Rell decision, called on our elected leaders to make long-overdue improvements to deliver on the state’s constitutional guarantee to provide a quality public education for ALL of Connecticut’s kids. He ordered the state to develop a "rational, sustainable and verifiable" education funding formula.

Unfortunately, Judge Moukawsher’s decision has been appealed and some of Connecticut’s elected leaders are dragging their feet rather than working to find a solution for our kids. We don’t need another court ruling to know that NOW is the time for Governor Malloy and the General Assembly to develop a fair education funding formula.

We need a funding system that directs education dollars to students and communities with the highest need and ensures that all of Connecticut's students have access to a great education they need and deserve.
