A CSW Junior (23) Anonymous Junior started this petition to Study Hall Moderator Brian Fraticelli

In the last couple of days, we have been forced into assigned seats in study hall. They claim it is for contact tracing, but I find that hard to believe due to the fact that the seniors can still sit anywhere they want, lunch is maskless with no contact tracing, and only like 10% of people fill out the activity period form. It just doesn't add up.

I have to admit these are rough and challenging times, but the way to get through these times is to have a support system of people that we can talk with and study with. This is impossible to do when we are constantly being threatened with multiple demerits or detentions for standing up and talking with someone from a different table for as little as 5 seconds. In addition, it is hard to build and maintain friendships with people if you don't have any core classes with them. For example, I only see some of my friends during study hall. For the past two weeks, I only pass them in the halls and smile.

Proposed Compromises:

1. If noise during attendance really is an issue, use assigned seats for the first 45 minutes and then let us move around after.

2. If contact tracing is an issue, let us choose our own permanent seats

Admin, the ball is in your court.

Charter, together we can band together and stop this. GO FORCE! CHARTER NOW AND FOREVER!
