The senior class wants to be able to decorate our graduation caps, however the school isn't allowing us this to do so. Many of the graduates would like this privilege. We only graduate high school once, and some of us may not be around or have the opportunities to go and graduate college, where you are allowed to decorate your cap. Many of the students are the first to graduate in their family. In the stands, the families will have a hard time differentiating which is child is theirs. With unique caps, there won't be as much confusion. We understand the idea of wanting to look professional and to be a unit. However, throughout our entire high school, we have been deindividualized through various ways. We all have to do the same projects, the same assignments and the same classes. We should be allowed one day, our FINAL day of high school to express ourselves by decorating caps.
