Internet Access on all Devices at Adlai E. Stevenson High School

Adlai E. Stevenson High School is denying students access to internet on personal devices. In doing so they are inadvertently decreasing student productivity as students will be unable to complete schoolwork on personal devices such as laptops, Chromebooks, or personal tablets. In addition, students may have restricted communication with parents and/or guardians making this not only an inconvenience, but a potential safety hazard in an emergency situation. Although administrators intend to use restrictive wifi as a means to prevent students from using their cell phones for non-academic reasons, in actuality they are limiting students' academic resources. To resolve this issue, school administrators should allow students to register personal devices with the school in order to access internet in classes. Can I get an AMEN?
