Reduce Adelphi Tuition

Reduce Adelphi Tuition
Why this petition matters
With the SARS-CoV2 virus (COVID-19) has taken away many college students experiences on campus. We have found universities neglect to alter the cost of tuition, housing, meal plans and many unnecessary additional fees that should no longer cost the full amount because most learning is blended/online. Adelphi is a private institution that on google says costs $61,000 a year before federal aid. A broken down idea of tuition FOR ONE SEMESTER is
$17,000-20,000 tuition
$1,700-2,500 meal plan (Silver is the lowest but you can only chose this plan in sophmore year, you are forced to pay for a meal plan if you are a resident on campus) THE ON CAMPUS FOOD IS TRASH.
$4,000-$6,000 Dorm room fees (these vary from Quad (cheapest) to single (most expensive
$25 Resident Activity Fee (There are no activities on campus so this fee should not be included)
TOTAL MAX COST: $28,525 and that is just for one semester.
ADELPHI UNIVERSITY DID NOT OFFER ANY REFUNDS ON SPRING '20 EVEN THOUGH STUDENTS WERE AFFECTED AND DISPLACED.
The services Adelphi offers such as "tutoring, study group collaboration rooms and office hours from professors" are not accessible in the same way it was before for students. When you ask the cashiers what credits cost: $1,300 per 1 credit. Each course you take here is minimum 3-4 credits depending on your major thats about $4,000 per class. A credit at NASSAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE is $200 per 1 credit. If the credits at NCC can be transferred (most) to Adelphi than why does Adelphi cost 6x the amount? You can chalk it up to the name, but in this time when most students are learning on their laptops at home the cost of credits, tuition and any excessive university fees should be deduced at MINIMUM by 50%.
In the image I have screenshot the University's "modest" 4% raise on tuition. When I started in 2016 my tuition was : $27,572 (tuition & fees: $20,687 with room & board: $6,875). My final tuition cost in 2020 was: $20,267 (only tuition & fees). If I took the 17.5 max credits adelphi offers at the $1,300/credit its: $22,750. Their math ever adds up for cost:worth ratio. Students please submit your stories of financial hardship, conditions of food, facilities and housing and please do not let Adelphi drown your voice with monetary payments.
