The memorial containing the world famous Vickers Vimy plane flown by South Australians Ross and Keith Smith from England to Australia in 1919 was once a very visible feature at the Adelaide Airport. Their flight was one of the great pioneering feats in aviation history. Due to airport reconfigurations it now languishes out of sight and mind near the long term airport carpark. It should be moved and restored to a position of pride and prominence, a visible feature to all who come through the    airport, before centenary celebrations toward the end of 2019.
