Bring Julian Assange home to Australia

0 have signed. Let’s get to 15,000!

Julian Assange is an Australian and has been detained to face extradition to the US to face charges over conspiracy. Julian Assange is the founder of Wikileaks which aims to release information of governments to promote transparency. Wikileaks has been fundamental in the appropriate and correct use of freedom of speech, it is a fundamental human right to speak up against governments without fear of persecution. A right we exercise in Australia. The charges he faces carry the death sentence. All governments should be accountable and transparent. Wikileaks has enabled this and allowed global citizens to question the actions of their government. I ask that the Australian Government and the Honourable Prime Minister of Australia intervene on behalf of Julian Assange and all Australians by giving Julian Assange his most basic diplomatic rights.

Immediately demanding the release of Julian Assange to Australia to carry out any pending inquiries where he will be safe.

I started this petition, because…
An Australian, a student, a teacher, and friend of freedom of speech.
