To the Honourable Minister of Health, Sylvia Jones:

We, the undersigned, request that the Ontario Ministry of Health urgently address the Drug Poisoning Crisis by:

SERVICES:  Providing evidence-informed Harm Reduction and Treatment services for opioid addiction throughout Ontario in proportion to client needs in each regional Ontario Health Team.

ADDRESS STIGMA:  Actively address the systemic stigma in the current healthcare system directed at people who use substances by service re-design and capacity-building with all provincially funded healthcare services. 

MANAGE RISK TO CONSUMERS: Protect people who use opioids from the risks associated with substances obtained from the unregulated market by providing medically-supervised safe supply programs as needed throughout Ontario.
