Most residents of Heffley Creek are not serviced by appropriate bussing.  There are many working families who are left without options for their children to catch the school bus within a reasonable distance from their homes.  It is not feasible for children of any age to walk upwards of 3km over a busy, narrow road with no sidewalks and very active set of train tracks to catch a school bus to exercise their right to education.   There needs to be a change, there must be additional stops for the lower Heffley Creek community so our kids can get bussed to and from school safely.  

There have been reasons such as the school bus cannot turn around in certain areas and that is just simply not accurate.  We are serviced by large garbage and recycling vehicles, delivery trucks, etc and many have holiday trailers that seem to have no issues.  

I invite members of the school division and City officials to come walk with our kids to the school bus to get a feel of just how far it is.  

There needs to be a change for our kids, an addition of at least one closer stop would greatly benefit our community.
