Rockwall ISD's recess was reduced to one 15 minute period per day for ages Kindergarten - 6th grade. 15 minutes of outside activity is not enough of an outdoor break to allow creative/free play and socialization with friends. This petition is to add either an additional recess time to the daily schedule or double the current allotted time for the 2023-2024 school year to allow additional outdoor time for all RISD elementary children.
