Due to the substantial population increase across the Hills District, as a community we feel we are currently not receiving an efficient amount of resources in the form of Police to keep our community safe.   This we feel is evident in the increased amount of crime, in particular robberies, assaults and malicious damage across all areas of the Hills Shire.

Over the last 5 – 10 years the Hills shire has gone through some rapid growth changes, with further development still ongoing in the Northwest, some of these rapid growth areas include, but are not limited to, Castle Hill, Kellyville, Kellyville North, Rouse Hill, Beaumont Hills, Box Hill, Dural, Glenhaven, Glenorie, Annangrove and Cattai.

Our community would like to see the following increase of police resources in our Hills area, which would all generate from an additional Police Station:

·         General duty officers

·         Additional Police Sergeants  

·         More patrol cars available and visible within the Hills community

·         Reduced response times from the Hills PAC

·         Pro-active policing across the Hills Shire

·         Police liaising with our local businesses and community on crime preventions, perhaps in the form of community events.

The Hills LAC receive support from only one police station i.e the Castle Hill Police Station.

The Hills Shire is growing in a fast, and we are in desperate need for a 2nd police station in a central area of the Hills Shire,  such as Kellyville/ Rouse Hill which can assist the current Castle Hill location for the Hills LAC.

We need to do something now as only more and more people are moving into our Hills area. The Police in the Hills command does a great job, with the limited resources they have, yet they need more support to help a growing community.
