Add Term Limits for County Council Members to Harford County upcoming ballott
Harford County Executive Barry Glassman requested The Harford County Council to propose an amendment to article 2 legislative branch of the Harford County charter as amended by repealing and reenacting with amendment section 206- terms of council member, to provide term limits for County council members and to require the submission of this amendment to the legally qualified voters of the Harford County Charter by the council on December 14th 2021. As predicted the County Council immediately voted against Term limits. We have a County Council that is not currently listening to its constituents (the voters and the community). There have been minimal bills passed that benefit the community instead of personally impacting the council. We need to stand together to request term limits in order to obtain any type of progress. If we can garner 20% of qualified Harford County voters to request Term limits be put on the upcoming ballott, we could possibly make a way for change in our county.
