Walking around the city, especially in areas like West Side, there is garbage littering the streets. Everything from plastic bottles, chip bags, and even paper/cardboard waste lay on the sidewalks and block the drains. There are no garbage cans for street blocks on end for people to dump their garbage. Existing garbage cans have no bags or are overflowing with garbage. The City of Jersey City should make a more conscious effort to improve the current upkeep of garbage and recycling bins while also adding more around the city. To make the current condition of the city better, there should be a focus on encouraging waste to be put into garbage and recycling bins.
