Attention people of Jefferson/Lewis/st.Lawrence  counties. I have gathered information from hundreds of people that would love to have more access to e85( ethanol fuel blend). This blend typically consists of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline hence “E85”.  This blend helps keep your engine temp cooler because ethanol burns cooler than gasoline which in turn optimizes performance and safety in an engine. For multiple reasons now is the perfect time to switch to e85 .Gasoline is at its peak height in price and only going up So for our people not trying to break the bank e85 is 25% to 35% less expensive than other fuels. You'll see big savings on fuel. E85 can lower your vehicle's MPG by up to 25%. E85 is also more eco friendly than your typical 87,91,93. On newer vehicles you may see something that says “flex fuel” this is an indication that your vehicle is capable of running any mixture of ethanol and gasoline or up to 83% “e85”.
