Add LGBTQ+ Resources to the TCU Syllabi

Add LGBTQ+ Resources to the TCU Syllabi
Why this petition matters
TCU currently does not require professors to include information about where community members can find all-gender bathrooms, resources, or support on campus in professors' syllabi. Syllabi should include details about where community members can find the nearest all-gender single occupancy bathrooms in relation to the building they are in, in addition to a map of all-gender single occupancy bathrooms on campus. This is important because TCU doesn’t offer all-gender bathrooms in all buildings, and everyone deserves easy access to a bathroom in which they feel safe and comfortable.
Syllabi are already required to include resource offices such as the Title IX Office, Counseling and Mental Health Center, Religious and Spiritual Life, TCU PD, etc. Syllabi should also include information about the Gender Resource Office on campus. Students deserve to know about all the resources they have access to on campus and the information on the Gender Resource Office is vitally important for students; especially those within the LGBTQA community and allies. From the TCU National Survey of Student Engagement, taken by former TCU students, we also found that LGBTQ+ students at TCU do not feel valued by the university and feel less supported socially and academically.
We plan to meet with Provost Dahlberg and Koehler Center to encourage them to adopt these changes to the syllabi campus wide.
About the Gender Resource Office: "GRO finds itself at the center of gender and LGBTQIA+ related issues and topics on campus impacting students and works with campus partners to provide programming and resources to students and the larger TCU community prioritizing advocacy and lifting the student voice towards progress and education."
