Softball has been a approved high school sport in Wyoming for 2 years now and the Riverton High School administration has shot down any attempts to get it added to the offerings.  We will be approaching them again on June 14, 2022

The girls want to play! The Riverton Girls Fastpitch Program has been steadily growing over the last few years to nearly 170 girls this summer including including 52 girls ages 13-18. More than enough to field a varsity and junior varsity teams

Being the only high school in Fremont County to offer softball, we would also attract girls from Lander Valley High School, Wind River High School, and Shoshoni High School, and the other high schools in the county who want to play. Currently several of these girls travel to Worland to play on their high school team. This could also encourage Lander Valley High School to follow suit and offer Softball as well. 

Both Lander and Riverton have the talent to field competitive teams. With each community having won the USA softball state tournaments in past years. Riverton won the 18U Recreational Division in 2021. 

Please help us show the District 25 school board that this idea is supported by the community and that the should vote yes to adding softball as a school sponsored activity!!
