Repeal Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act
Repeal Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act
Mass shootings need to be stopped by any means allowed by the scope of the Constitution. The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act gives protection to gun stores or retailers if their firearms were used to commit a violent crime. Take this protection away, and gun stores and retailers will be naturally incentivized to increase their due diligence in the commission of background checks, and in short, will be more wary of who they sell a gun to. Change in a democratic republic takes time, but this petition seeks to achieve an attainable goal which can help our society move forward. Once we get signatures, we can give this to our California representatives in the House and urge them to continue to fight for the repeal of this legislation.
To gun retailers: *If you want to make money selling guns that result in the death of innocent lives, you should be responsible.*
