John Baker started this petition to Activision Blizzard and

Hello, my name is John, also known as Rybaack on WoW. This is being written for a serious reason, a very serious reason. Note: I do not take credit for any sources provided in this petition, all sources will be credited to the owners of the content.

Activision Blizzard has been on a derail for at least a year now, for multiple reasons, even getting booed for the first time in Blizzcon history in 2018. The "Do you guys not have phones?" meme was born that day, but NOW it has gotten to a crazy level. Users who attend Blizzcon 2019 will be required to download a Spyware App called AXS.

AXS was exposed in the WoW community as a Spyware app, and an extreme one at that. It tracks the following information. First name, last name, precise location, as determined by GPS, how often the app is used, what content is viewed using the app, which ads are clicked, what purchases are made (and not made), a user’s personal advertising identifier, IP address, operating system, device make and model, billing address, credit card number, security code, mailing address, phone number, and email address, among many others.

Here are some more examples, as tested by actual players who tested it for themselves.

This is all ridiculous levels of invasion of privacy. To give some more info on invasion of privacy, Invasion of privacy is a Class A misdemeanor, but can be charged as a Level 6 felony if a person has a prior unrelated conviction for invasion of privacy. Invasion of privacy charges are serious and can put you at risk of jail time. This example assumes its a person, not a business. Activision Blizzard is breaking the law according to this information.

We don't want the company to shut down, but at the same time, we need to protect our privacy, and show we have our own rights. Everyone has Freedom of Speech, Choice, etc.

To prove that this info has been shown, there is a video found by a user named TheQuartering. Please check out his video below for all the detailed information.

Let us fix this situation, hopefully without losing something we love, but we have to stand up for our human rights. Thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully we will be able to fix the problem.

Sincerely,  Rybaack
