Action for the Climate Crisis in Ribble Valley
We, the executive committee of Ribble Valley Constituency Labour Party, call upon Ribble Valley Borough Council (RVBC) to acknowledge that there is a Climate Emergency and to strengthen its recent Climate Change Strategy 2021-2030 by:
• Reviewing the Local Plan to ensure that combatting the effects of climate change is at the top of the agenda in all aspects of RVBC's work.
• Setting specific, measurable, resourced and timed plans to reach net zero by 2030.
• Establishing a Citizen's Assembly in the Ribble Valley to drive forward support for evidence-based policy to tackle climate change.
