Joshua Brown started this petition to Acting Boston Mayor Kim Janey and

Back in 2012 the MBTA decided the eliminate bus route 48 due to lack of ridership, but it didn't sit well with everyone especially the elderly and the disabled that regularly take route 48 to goto their appointments, grocery stores, and more. The 48 route also had connections with the orange line at Jackson Sq, Stony Brook, and Green Street stations.

Now that Governor Charlie Baker have lifted covid as well as the State of Emergency, why not bring back the J.P. Loop as a pilot route? There's now a better chance of keeping it permanent in the age of social media.

Please spread the word about my petition and let's bring back MBTA bus route 48 a.k.a the J.P. Loop as we continue to help Massachusetts small businesses recover and grow.

Hopefully we all make it possible to bring back 48 in the age of social media. Spread the word.
