Menstruation is not a standardized part of health education in schools, and period products are not readily available and/or free in school bathrooms, which is why providing menstruation products in all bathrooms in schools is extremely necessary, as many do not have the resources to get these products which are essential to everyday life. On top of this, educating people on what they are, how to access them, and how to use them is vital, as without them there’d be detrimental effects. This issue is important because menstruation products should be free for everyone regardless of gender because it is an unavoidable, natural occurrence. Students should also be taught about menstruation to create a more knowledgeable and understanding generation.
