Currently if you have been paid for a physical injury and then also suffer a mental injury from sexual abuse acc take any previous amounts paid off the new impairment percentage even tho these injuries are of a seperate nature and in different decades basically if you get run over by a car while at daycare as a toddler and get compensated for that then as a vulnerable child you get sexually abused currently ACC will take the fact you have been compensated for being hit by the car away from any payments for  sexual abuse injury. ACC need to improve legislation so regardless of previous injury if a person makes a sensitive claim and gets accepted cover they should be compensated for both injuries seperatly not as one whole injury I was paid out before I was even sexually abused and it does not seem fair that ACC can combine these two injuries to get out of paying any further compensation
