My name is Karolina Dazycki and I am running for the position of Vice President in Student Government. With the start of COVID-19, the Academy of American Studies has struggled with school spirit and building close relationships with their peers and teachers. Students have felt that they have lost connections with their friends and have struggled to stay active in school. I would like to run for Vice President to attack this issue head-on and try my best to help students feel involved in Academy. I want to bring positive change to the school and make students excited to be involved. Students need to have a voice and be their own leaders, even if they aren't a part of Student Government. 
     If I were to be Vice President, I would like to try my best to bring community service opportunities to our school and help Student Government perform their committees to the best of their abilities. Student Government is a valuable club in our school that tries its best to build school spirit and communication in Academy. I want to try my best to help Student Government with any issues they run into and expand events in our school. I want to be an active listener and leader to anyone that comes to me for help.
