Hello! We are the MedTech Frontiers, the official student publication of the CEU Manila-School of Medical Technology. On behalf of Escolarian MedTech students who are distressed by the projected election results and current political climate, we call on School of Medical Technology Faculty to give us academic ease.

As Escolarians, we want to uphold our philosophy of ‘Cienca y Virtud’. Reports of electoral violations and malfunctions in VCMs which have barely been addressed or resolved, serve as a major factor to our feelings of anxiety and uncertainty.

In pursuit of science and virtue, intending to instill high moral standards on every Escolarian, we sincerely urge the CEU School of Medical Technology Administration to suspend synchronous and asynchronous activities until Friday, May 13, 2022, to give ample time for the whole CEU-SMT community to actively exercise their right to freedom of expression and to cope with election-related anxiety.

In a truly democratic country, it is part of our right as Filipino citizens to get involved and be vigilant in the situation we are facing. However, in the current situation, where every student is battling to make it through the semester, we are requesting the administration's sympathy. Rather of focusing solely on continuing education, we must first ensure that all of the constituents have the capacity to do so.
