Everyday we, as Americans, are reminded of the inequalities and injustices of our country. Everyday reminded that the "Land of the Free" only applies to those who look a certain way. Everyday told what to do and how to do it, while watching others living like the same rules don't apply to them.

I am sickened daily feeling hopeless, helpless and powerless in a country that just doesn't make sense. We are all humans and HUMAN RIGHTS should apply to us all.

Contrary to what is taught, believed and understood, we as women have all of the power. WE have and make the choice to have sex. WE choose to allow procreation. WE ensure the survival of the human race.

"Abstinence for Equality"

I want equality. Whether it be equal pay for the minorities, rights for women in it's entirety, every American pays their equal share in taxes. I want equality based solely on BEING an American and living by the exact same rules.

"THE LAND OF THE FREE" doesn't come with fine print, though a mass majority of us are treated as though it does. I believe everything will stay the same unless we as a whole stand up and challenge "what has always been" with "what is right!".

We do not have to have sex. We do not have to allow this powerlessness to continue. We can make a change. We can get the equality all Americans deserve.
