This is a major problem for many students. Most students do not do well on these final assessments, and in turn, negatively impacts their grades. This could drop someone from a well-deserved A to a B. A lot of students also struggle from test anxiety, making it all the more difficult to receive a good grade. These tests do not accurately reflect how well people do in the class. It is certain that most students have felt uneasy after taking these unreasonable tests, and increases the amount of stress after. It makes people feel worse about themselves because they believe they did worse in the class. With so much of adolescence's worth based on the outward reflection, they find in their grades tests that unfairly measure their ability, and quickly lose confidence. Confidence is of vital at this age in which if students do not do well, they find themselves more and more disconnected to school. This decreases success, increases drop out rates, all while tearing down students' self worth.  This does more harm than good not only for students, but teachers as well. Teachers are burdened with a significant increase in grading these long tests, which in turn, causes more stress for them as well.
