iReady is a website designed to teach ELA and math to its students. However, it doesn't really do its job. Students learn little to nothing from iReady lessons, because the lessons are disengaging and tedious. When I surveyed students at my school, most of them agreed that having an actual teacher would be far better than iReady. When students are stuck on questions while doing iReady lessons, maybe the way iReady is explaining it doesn't always work for the student. Whereas with a teacher, they can explain a concept to you until it clicks. Most of the time, students don't get lessons that are right for them, because they just want to get it over with and blindly click through. After surveying my classmates, I concluded that most students want to remove iReady from the curriculum at CHCCS. Help us by signing our petition, and thank you.
