ABIA STATE GOVERNMENT: Pay ABSU STAFF their 10 months salaries

ABIA STATE GOVERNMENT: Pay ABSU STAFF their 10 months salaries
Why this petition matters
PAY STAFF OF ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY, UTURU THEIR 10 MONTHS SALARIES
A workman is worthy of his wages says the holy book. But it would appear that some state government in Nigeria obviously think otherwise. How else can one rationalize the delay in payment of salaries of staff of Abia State University.
Presently, staff of Abia State University, Uturu are being owed 10 months salaries. The hardship associated with the many months of unpaid salaries has reportedly led staff of the University to resort to alms begging and borrowing before they can feed themselves and their families as well as attend to their health needs.
No excuse whatsoever justifies the delay in the payment of salaries of these staff whose livelihood depends entirely on their monthly wages. We are therefore calling on men and women of good conscience to sign these petition to compel the government of Abia State to forthwith pay the 10 months salaries of staff of Abia State University.
Silence in the face of injustice is complicity with the oppressor.
Signed: Action Against Injustice.
Note: Please kindly sign this petition and also escalate it so that it can compel Abia state government to fulfill their obligation to staff of Abia State University.
