DJ LeMahieu is a below average hitter this year. Somehow, he continues to bat leadoff for a team with Aaron Judge, Joey Gallo, Anthony Rizzo, Gary Sanchez, Giancarlo Stanton, and a Rougned Odor. All of those players have earned more plate appearances. DJ should be no higher than 6th in the order until he gets himself fixed. His exit velocity numbers are promising, but he cannot lift a ball for his life! I believe he can turn it around, but the Yankees cannot keep shooting themselves in the foot by having him lead off. It’s time for a change. Listen to the analytics department, and get this fixed.
