What if you don’t get empowered or you don’t get your rights, How would you feel? Try putting yourselves into a girl’s shoes and then think that the things happening to girls are right or wrong. I can understand the feeling of a girl when she is not getting empowered or is being raped or murdered. This feeling only a girl can understand. Women Empowerment is a huge subject, it talks about women’s rights, women’s voice, her choices, and her ownerships. Empowerment includes the action of raising the status of women through education, raising awareness, literacy, and training. Women Empowerment is all about equipping and allowing women to make life-determining decisions through different problems in society. In today’s world, different people of different casts, society, regions, color, etc (Especially Girls) face the problem of having a conversation with the surroundings. Furthermore, having a good friend is a major problem that mostly every girl faces. In fact, in 2017 32,500 rapes were registered and 1,28,000 rape cases were pending at the end of 2017. Also, on an average per day 90 rapes had taken place at that time. In today’s generation, girls don’t get a chance or opportunity to speak up and give their opinion in front of a small amount of an audience as well as a huge amount of audience. Not only in India but rape and murders are taking place all over the world. For example, on Dec 5, 2019, a 23-year-old rape victim is set ablaze by a gang of men, including the alleged rapist, as she made her way to court to attend a hearing in the case, in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh, police claimed. Also, not a rape or a murder case but Malala Yousafzai a student activist of Pakistan fought for her rights related to education and equality got shot when she was just 12. So, women shall get what they want and shall not have restrictions if they are from a different cast, culture, region or from a different color. Women shall get the rights they need, this includes educational rights, having a voice, a choice and ownership. Also, it is the process for women to redefine gender roles that allow them to acquire the ability to choose between known alternatives who have otherwise been restricted from such an ability. There are several principles defining women's empowerment such as, for one to be empowered, they must come from a position of disempowerment. Furthermore, one must acquire empowerment themselves rather than have it given to them by an external party. Other studies have found that empowerment definitions entail people having the capability to make important decisions in their lives while also being able to act on them. Adding more, empowerment and disempowerment are relative to others at a previous time. Therefore, empowerment is a process, not a product. Women’s empowerment has become a significant topic of discussion in development and economics. It can also point to the approaches regarding other trivialized genders in a particular political or social context. Respect for women shall be equal to the respect that men get. Equality shall be maintained always between men and women. Adding more, please give equality to women and give equal respect. I also hope that you all are clear with the understanding of the topic I talked about. We all take a pledge to respect women and never support gender inequality and always support gender equality. Lastly, a gentle request for you all to please take action against rape and murders happening across the globe. I want all of you to not just fill your conveniences and wishes, but take a step that can protect women or any worldwide. Also, please support Women Empowerment and try to find out a way to spread awareness in your society or surrounding. If you just spread awareness to your friends from them it can make a huge difference. Lastly, I just want to end with a quote related to Women Empowerment, “ Being a human should be your supreme achievement and not your deepest fear. Celebrate womanhood, fuel yourself with self-confidence and let that fuel empower you to soar towards your dreams. ” A prepossessing quote by Mani Mukhija. Repeating again, Support the right thing always.
